Mary Alice Belton

Mary Alice Price Belton 83, of Danville, VA passed away on Thursday February 19, 2026 at 6:10pm.
I, Judy, was with her sitting by her bedside touching her gently on her shoulder as she slipped away to go home to be with the Lord.

When she passed, it was very quiet and calm as she crossed peacefully. I am grateful to God that I was there with her as her soul left her physical body to exist
in the divine presence of God.Mary Belton accepted Jesus as her Lord and Saviour at an early age. She joined
Shiloh Baptist Church, in the community of Almago where she was raised.

Mary Alice was educated in the Danville Public School System. Mary Alice Price Belton was the daughter of the late Moses Price and Rebecca
Cosby Price. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister, her only sibling, Ruth Odaris Price Gillespie.

Mary was married to the late David Nathaniel Belton Jr. for 54 years, and of this union four children were born. Janice Marie Belton, of Danville, VA , Judy Belton
Whipple (Tim) of Danville, VA, David Nathaniel Belton III (Herneatha) of Bladensburg, MD and Anthony Moses Belton (Jessica) of Danville, VA.

She was a loyal wife and a faithful mother to all of her children. She loved her son-in-law, Tim as a son, and he loved her as a mother, offering profound,
unconditional and protective care that transcended formal titles.

Mary Alice had six grandchildren, Author: Professor LaToiya Whipple (Elder),
Shanel Whipple, David Nathaniel Belton IV, Adeela Hopkins, and Aliya Saunders
(Malik) Micah Belton (Demeka)III.

Our mother filled our lives with love and kindness. She was the heart of our
home. Her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will live on through her children
and grandchildren.

Mary Alice has 9 GREAT grandchildren, one of which predeceased her. She was
predeceased by Malachi Anthony Foster. Malachi was the 2-month-old baby of
Shanel Whipple Foster, who is currently Shanel Denise Whipple.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, grandchildren, great
grandchildren, in-laws, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday February 28, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Wilson Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will be private.

A visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to service on Saturday from 10:30 A.M. - 11:00 A.M.
