Mary Louise (Person) Swanson

Mary Louise Swanson, 86, of Danville, Virginia passed away Monday February 23, 2026, at Sovah Health Danville.

Born June 14, 1939, in Drewyville, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Albert Person Sr. and Daisy Mae Stith Person. She was married to the late Raymond Swanson.

Survivors include two daughters Janet Gwynn of Danville, Virginia and Demachee Ann Williams of Middletown, Delaware; two sisters Akram Salaam and Khadija Aayapong; two brothers Albert Person Jr. (Barbara) and Larry Person (Renate); five grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by one daughter Pamela Williams; one son Duncan Williams; and one sister Mable Hill.

The family will receive visitors daily from 5 P.M to 7 P.M at the residence 634 Monument St. Danville, VA.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday March 2, 2026, at 1 P.M. at Bible Way Cathedral. Burial will be private.
